Would I enjoy being a teacher?
Teaching is "full-on". You will always feel tired at
the
end of the day but you will also always know that
you
have done something valuable every day.
Stacks of marking and unruly children are the
downsides but the" plusses" include variety,
interaction
and making a difference in young people's lives.
For
lots of people that's a lot more appealing than
sitting at a computer all day long.
There are lots of opportunities for career
development
and the perks can involve school trips abroad and
a
six week summer holiday.
Pay is better than it used to be and there are
lots of
opportunities to take on further responsibilities
and
get extra cash, but you'll never be rich (unless
you
become a Super Head on 200k)
