The University of Aberdeen is offering law graduates the chance to take LLMs and PhDs in a top class Law School.
The School of Law offers a wide range of LLM programmes and specialisations including Energy Law, International Commercial Law, International Law, European Law, Sustainable Development, Property, Criminal Justice and Human Rights, Oil & Gas Law, International Law and Globalisation and Private International Law. We also offer an LLM in International Business Law by distance learning that can be taken part time while doing other work. The LLM programmes can be started in either September or January.
Postgraduate study at Aberdeen offers the opportunity to study at one of the oldest and most respected universities in Europe, having been founded in 1495. Situated within the historical surroundings of the King’s College campus, the Law School is housed in a modern purpose-built building with an extensive law library containing more than 50,000 volumes and with access to a wide range of electronic resources.
Aberdeen Law School has a reputation for excellence in teaching and research having achieved a rating of 5, the highest numerical rating awarded, in the last two Research Assessment Exercises – the only Law School in Scotland to have secured this rating in two successive Assessments.
